The Workstation That Names Itself
Today I made the master machine for the support client's workstations cloneable: every night they come back clean, give themselves a name and join the domain, with nobody touching a thing. What I'm taking home isn't the script. It's that I removed a whole class of error instead of patching it, plus a small distinction between who you are and who you show yourself to be on the network.
